What We Do

ERTH (Environmental Resource and Technology for Humanity) Products, LLC is a company specializing in the manufacturing and engineering of specialty soils utilizing compost and lightweight aggregates. ERTH Products’ registered trademark product, ERTH Food®, is manufactured just outside Plains, Georgia using the composting technology process pioneered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The aerated static pile composting process is used to mix biosolids with peanut hulls to produce a uniform, stable, premium-quality product recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an Exceptional Quality product. The Exceptional Quality (EQ) designation assures a level of safety and quality not found in many other soil amendments and fertilizers.

1999 – Governor Branes presented ERTH Products with the department of Community Affairs First Place Award in the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle category of the Keep Georgia Beautiful awards program.
2000 – Awarded the Georgia Green Industry Association’s “Environmental Friend of the Industry”
2003 – Awarded the US Composting Council’s “Composter of the Year Award” for excellence in compost operation and market development.
2007 – ERTH Products was the recipient of the US Composting Council’s “Clean Water Award” for programs that positively impact water quality.
2011 – The Georgia Recycling Coalition awarded ERTH Products the 2011 “Spirit of Green Awards for Environmental Stewardship”
2016 – Awarded the Georgia Recycling Coalition Lifetime Achievement Award
2018 – Recipient of the prestigious US Composting Council’s “Hi Kellogg Award for Outstanding Service to the Composting Industry”

Over the past 25 years, ERTH Products, LLC. Has worked with numerous associations , universities, and regulatory authorities to advance compost education and infrastructure evelopment within the organic recycling and compost manufacturing industry.ERTH Products’ president, Wayne King, Co-owner and CEO, served as a board member with the United States Composting Council (USCC), the Georgia Recycling Coalition, and the University of Georgia Odum School of Ecology. He served as President of the USCC and the Georgia Composting Association, and as Chairman of the Georgia Green Industry Association. Along with expanding agriculture uses for compost, soil, and organic matter, ERTH Products takes pride in the work accomplished to advance environmental uses associated with clean air, stormwater management, and erosion control. ERTH Products’ participation on the Governors Stormwater Advisory Committee to the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Technical Advisory Planning Committee paved the way for exceptional quality composted soil amendments in numerous environmental and green infrastructure landscapes.

ERTH Products, LLC. is actively involved in the green industry. ERTH Products’ president, Wayne King, Sr., is a former president of the Georgia Composting Association and a board member of both the Georgia Green Industry Association and past president of the United States Composting Council.

Wayne is a frequent speaker at Georgia Soil and Water Conservation groups, the Georgia Water and Pollution Control Authority, the University of Georgia’s Composting Operators’ Training Course and the BioCycle National Conferences.
